Chuch Holzer currently serves as the Presiding Clerk (Elder). Chuck and his wife, Robbi, have been members of Alliance Friends Church since 1980. They have been involved in Vacation Bible School, F.R.O.G. (Fully Relying On God), Nominating Committee, Christian Education, and teaching Sunday School. Chuck has been employed by Louisville City Schools as a teacher since 1975. Robbi, a former teacher, is studying to become an occupational therapist assistant. Chuck enjoys furniture making, hunting, and golf. Having been married since 1975, they have two sons, Curtis and Ryan.

Rod Harding currently serves as the Elder of Spiritual Life. Rod and his wife, Debbie, have been attending Alliance Friends Church since 1998. They have both been involved with the Senior High Youth. Along with being an elder, Rod enjoys the Worship Ministry and a couple of Men's Accountability Groups. Debbie is the AFC Publication Secretary, which involves creating the Midweek Memo, Sunday Bulletin, and the Website. She is also involved with Women in Ministry. Rod has worked for the family business, Harding Heating & Cooling, for 21 years. Rod and Debbie have been married for 13 years and have a son and two daughters.

Roger Meir currently serves as the Elder of Outreach. Roger and his wife, Kathy, have been attending Alliance Friends Church since 1990. They have been involved in different ministries of the church including Junior Friends Youth, Vacation Bible School, cooking dinners, Building Committee, F.R.O.G. (Fully Relying On God), Sports and Recreation, Sunday School helpers, and Pastoral Relations Committee. Roger retired as a supervisor for Mahoning County Engineers in 1997 and has been in EMS work for over 20 years. He is currently employed as a paramedic with Bartley Ambulance. Kathy works in the church office as Office Manager. Roger and Kathy have two sons and daughters-in-law and five grandchildren who also attend Alliance Friends Church.

Jayne Hall currently serves as the Elder of Education. Jayne has been attending Alliance Friends Church since 2002. She has taught elementary Sunday School classes, co-facilitated DivorceCare, helped with Vacation Bible School, served on the Missions Committee, facilitates a Bible Study in her home and is involved with our Women In Ministry. Jayne is a retired elementary school teacher with 31 years experience. She has one son, Wayne. Reading, being with family and friends, serving at church and on Emmaus teams all bring her much joy.

Doug Schwarz currently serves as the Elder of Stewardship and Chairman of Administrative Council. Doug and his family have been attending Alliance Friends Church since 1998 becoming members in 2000.
Doug is employed at Alliance Ventures. In addition, Doug is the Executive Director of the Greater Alliance Foundation, a community foundation which supports worthy needs that sometimes go unmet by established charitable resources.
Kyle is director of Time Warner Cable Channel 11 and has been the Broadcast Arts teacher at Alliance High School for six years. She is the pianist for Children’s Choir and is a worship leader at the Empowerment Center. They have four children, Natalie, Alisha, Brock, and Kendra.

Sandy Pittenger currently serves as the Elder at Large for our Administrative Council. Sandy is a birthright member of Alliance Friends Church and is honored to have as part of her heritage a great grandfather who was very instrumental in starting the Friends church in Alliance. She has been involved in many church activities throughout the years, including camp counselor, youth group leader, Sunday School teacher, Love in Action, hospitality chairman, treasurer, Stewardship Elder, Vacation Bible School and also participated in two short term missionary experiences, one for ten weeks in Ecuador and one for ten days in Hong Kong. Ken and Sandy were married at the Barn on the campus of Malone University in1981. Sandy is an administrator in the Office of Student Financial Services at Mount Union College. Ken is an employee of Clem Lumber in Alliance and assists with the sound system each Sunday in second service. They have been blessed with three children: one son and daughter-in-law who reside in Ozark, Missouri, another son in Columbus, Ohio and the youngest daughter attends Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. When accepting this position, Sandy found confirmation of the Lord's direction in Colossians 2:6-7. |
