ALMOST…
by Pastor Rick Sams

Braxton Miller almost pulled off a major upset with his struggling Ohio State football team against the highly favored Nebraska team…almost.

Tim Tebow, highly-rated two-time Heisman Trophy winner in college, but struggling as a pro with the Broncos, almost pulled off a comeback win against the Chargers…almost.

Tim was almost aborted…but thankfully not. In college Tebow almost always inscribed John 3:16 in his eyeblack, for Tim is an ALL out Christian.

Many know that. What many don’t know is doctors begged Tim’s mother, Pam, to abort Tim 22+ years ago. She refused, trusting God for the outcome. She had been given drugs to counter the amoebic dysentery she contracted as a missionary, not knowing she was pregnant. Those drugs are known to almost universally cause irreversible damage to babies in the womb.

Back in 1955 Steve Jobs’ biological mother also had a “crisis pregnancy.” She was young, poor, and single. But abortions were illegal then. What if they had been legal? Think of all the world would have missed out on, from Apple Inc. to iPhones, had Jobs been actually aborted instead of almost.

What would our world have been like without all these babies delivered to mothers with similar crisis pregnancies? Beethoven, John Wesley, Bill Clinton, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Art Linkletter, Eleanor Roosevelt, George Washington Carver, John Lennon, Nancy Reagan, Pricilla Presley, James Michener, Dave Thomas, Jesse Jackson, Gerald Ford, Scottie Hamilton, Nat King Cole, Nelson Mandela, Malcolm X, Crazy Horse, Greg Louganis, Jim Palmer, Aristotle, Moses, and Jesus Christ.

  …Almost…
